“King” Kai Stewart continued his reign as BKFC Featherweight World Champion on Saturday night, turning back previously unbeaten Harry “The Hitman” Gigliotti by unanimous decision in the main event.
Stewart controlled the contest on the judges’ scorecards, earning 48-47 scores from two judges, while the third judge awarded him a wider 49-46 decision.
The victory moves Stewart’s BKFC record to 10-0, making him only the second fighter in promotion history to win each of his first 10 bouts. Leonardo “El Zambo” Perdomo was the first to accomplish the feat.
More importantly, Stewart’s latest win secured his sixth successful defense of the BKFC Featherweight World Championship. That ties Luis “Baboon” Palomino for the most title defenses in BKFC history.
The Great Falls, Montana native remains unbeaten inside the BKFC ring and continues to strengthen his case as one of the promotion’s most accomplished champions.
