Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 21, 2022) On Thursday night at a packed Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines, FL, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sportpresented an outstanding action-packed card which was broadcast globally on the BKFC App.
In the main event, former BKFC Heavyweight World Champion Joey Beltran, (5-3-1), of Carlsbad, CA was knocked out with a tremendous right hand in the opening round by veteran ‘Big’ Frank Tate, (2-1-1), of Birmingham, AL. With Tate being awarded the knockout victory, time of the immediate stoppage was :23.
In the co-feature, making his BKFC debut from Swansea, Wales, James Lilly, (5-0-1 in bare-knuckle bouts) also scored a first-round knockout of Adam Pellarano, (3-2), of Biloxi, MS. A devastating, short right hand drilled Pellarano to the canvas with the bout being halted (:40) when he could not continue.
Popular lightweight Tom Shoaff, (4-3), of Lawton, OK scored a third round (1:59) knockout of Butch Lutchmedial, (1-2). The valiant Lutchmedial was also dropped in the second round.
Newcomer Howard Davis, (1-0) scored the knockout of the night with his battering ram right hand sending Josh Wright, (0-1) to the canvas with an immediate halt to the action at the end of the third round. Both Davis and Wright, fighting in the 145lb. division, had been dropped in the opening stanza.
Fighting in the 185lb. division, BKFC debuting Doug Coltrane of Smithfield, NC won a unanimous decision over Eduard Concepcion of Miami, FL by scores of 48-46 and 47-46, twice. Concepcion rallied from being dropped in the second and third rounds.
In the light heavyweight division, BKFC debuting Ravon Baxter, of Nashville, TN was victorious in an outstanding clash with Miami’s Leonel Carrera (0-1). Baxter dropped Carrera with a big right hand at the end of round two enroute to a split decision by scores of 48-46, twice and 46-48.
Fighting in the lightweight division, Bryan Duran, (1-0), of Miami, FL scored a second-round technical knockout of Glendale Futrell, (0-1) of Auburndale, FL. The ringside physician stopped the fight after the second stanza when he deemed Futrell unable to continue.
Opening the main card, newcomer Juston Stills of Stone Mountain, GA made a highly impressive debut with a dominant shutout performance against Famez, (1-3), of Miami, FL. Scores were 50-45 on all three judges’ cards.
In the prelims, Jeremy Smith scored a third-round knockout (:40) of Davian Green in the light heavyweight division. In the welterweight division Gorjan Slaveskistopped Ramal Amanov in the first round (1:20).
Fighting in the featherweight division, Vinny Turiello stopped Rob Fuller at the end of round one.
