It’s being billed as “Rumble at the Rock” and it appears to have the makings of a very interesting event. This Friday, March 23, 2018, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will host the very first boxing match at its brand new Hard Rock Event Center. The co-main events will produce 4 fighters with a combined record of 62-0-3. Someone’s “O” has got to go!
In the main event, WBA #4-rated Stephon “Showstopper” Young (17-0-3, 7 KOs) from St. Louis, Mo. And WBA #5-rated Reymart “GenSan Assassin” Gaballo (18-0, 16 KOs) from the Philippines will be fighting for the WBA Bantamweight Eliminator. The winner of this 12-round event is expected to fight for the championship sometime this summer.
Other fighters of note include Kazakhstan’s Ivan Dychko, who is an undefeated and very large heavyweight, training right here in the South Florida area. Ivan has proven himself worthy of greatness with an amazing and well-crafted amateur career. Also on the card is the pro debut of Roberto Duran, Jr., son of the legendary Roberto Duran, as well as former champions, Juan Carlos Payano (19-1) and Carlos Buitrago (30-3).
Expected in attendance are special guests and former Heavyweight Champions, Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe and Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield.
