 IBO World Middleweight champion Gennadiy Golovkin and Ryota Murata have postponed their championship fight in Japan to 2022 due to COVID restrictions.  IBO and Unified World Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk stopped by Madison Square Garden to catch fellow countryman Vasly Lomachenko in action and bumped in Tyson Fury. A possible undisputed fight could land in 2022. The sweet science was on display in Manchester over the weekend when undefeated Lerrone “Sniper the Boss” Richards (16-0) defeated previously unbeaten Carlos Gongora (20-1) to become IBO World Super Middleweight champion.  Undefeated Daniyar “Kazakh Thunder” Yeleussinov, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist, put Juan Hernan Leal on canvas twice in the 2nd round on his way to a unanimous decision victory to claim the IBO World Welterweight title in Astana.  “One Smack” Jack Massey introduced his left hook to the world scene when he stopped Bilal Laggoune in the third round to claim the IBO World Cruiserweight title last month in Bolton.  The Landlord of the Women’s Welterweight division, IBO champion Jessica “Caskilla” McCaskill had no issues with late replacement Kandi Wyatt in Las Vegas with a TKO stoppage in Round 7. McCaskill continues to look for that Katie Taylor rematch in 2022. IBO Inter-Continental champion Istvan Szili faces former World champion Felix Sturm in March of 2022 in Super Middleweight eliminator. Congratulations to the newly elected IBHOF class of 2022, former IBO World Light Heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr, former IBO World Cruiserweight champion James Toney, former IBO publicist Bill Caplan, IBO Fight Commisioner Ron Borges, and Bob Yalen.
