Elbiali vs. Pascal: Curtain Call or Lights Out ?

Elbiali vs. Pascal

On Friday, December 8th undefeated light heavyweight Ahmed Elbiali (16-0, 13 KO’s) will square off against the former world champion Jean Pascal (31-5-1, 18KOs) at Hialeah Park in Miami, Florida.

Elbiali brings with him a penchant for early-round knockouts and will pose quite a threat to the 35-year-old Jean Pascal, who is 2-3 in his last 5 fights, with two of those losses coming at the hands of the current WBO champ Sergey Kovalev.  It is a big fight for Elbiali, and one that he does not take lightly.

The Fighting News recently spoke with Elbiali who reinforced his hunger and desire to get the W on Friday night.  The biggest fight of his career, possibly leading to a title shot soon, Elbiali visualizes a war against the Jean Pascal of 2009/10.  But Jean Pascal will not go gentle into that good night.  Pascal has already stated in interviews that he needs to win this, the final fight of his career.

While Pascal will undoubtedly rely on his experience, Elbiali will rely on his unwavering self-confidence.  In his own words, “you need to absolutely believe in yourself to advance in this sport,” something he has been doing since he first entered the sport at age 15.  And although he will boast a height and slight reach advantage over his opponent, he does not underestimate Pascal.

This will be an exciting fight, brought to you by Premier Boxing Champions and Fox Sports 1

See you in Miami!
