TONIGHT is the BIG Welterweight Title Fight between two of the best fighters in the world. These two guys may possibly be the best match-up of the year. There will be a lot of action, punching, bleeding, adrenaline, and fireworks. The result is a coin flip, and to the victor go the spoils, as not only will the winner gain the WBC Welterweight World Title but also set himself up for a long-awaited rematch and title unification bout with current WBA Welterweight Champion and former WBC Welterweight belt holder Keith “One Time” Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs). Always bringing a smothering “punches in bunches” mentality to the ring, former IBF Welterweight Champion, “Showtime” Shawn Porter (28-2, 17 KOs), will no doubt have his hands full when face-to-face with former WBA & WBC Jr. Welterweight and former WBC Welterweight Champ, Danny “Swift” Garcia (34-1, 20 KOs). Garcia, a counter-puncher by nature, typically looks to be “second” and brings with him power in both hands. This reporter anticipates a GREAT fight with a lot of back-and-forth action, which neither the bell nor the referee may be able to stop. Although tremendously hard to pick a winner in this type of contest, this reporter has to go with his boy, Shawn Porter, who is perhaps the most underrated Welterweight currently active in the sport. An instant classic, you won’t want to miss this one, so don’t! –
