Philadelphia, PA (March 31, 2022) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, The World’s Fastest Growing Sport, has announced the commencement of fighter rankings as voted by the combat sports media. (attached).
The rankings are categorized by weight class in addition to pound-for-pound rankings, regardless of weight class. A BKFC fighter must be considered ‘active’ in order to be ranked.
“We’re very excited to have this rankings system in place,” said Dave Feldman, President of BKFC. “For fans it’s another way to engage on social media during and after our events and we believe this will truly evolve as we move forward with our rapidly growing schedule which will allow for more fighters to garner votes.”
The BKFC Rankings Panel is facilitated through Combat Registry and will be updated and distributed monthly.
Said Chris Palmquist of Combat Registry, “We are excited about working with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship to provide a technology solution and administrative support to allow the creation of these unbiased media rankings. BKFC is a proven leader in promoting the sport of bare knuckle fighting and these media rankings will add legitimacy to its divisions and the athletes striving to know their place in them with the hopes of eventually competing for a title.”
BKFC world title holders can also be ranked in the pound-for-pound rankings, however in each weight class the champion and/or interim champion is automatically ranked at the top of their division.
The BKFC rankings panel was officially convened for the first time after BKFC Fight Night New York 2 on Saturday, March 12. Voters are journalists from across the combat sports media and represent the opinions of a variety of professionals following the rapidly evolving sport.
The BKFC Rankings Panel is facilitated through Combat Registry and will be updated and distributed monthly.
