BKFC 23 RESULTS & HIGHLIGHTS- Richman vs Rickels. WOW 8 knockouts.

Wichita, KS (April 8, 2022) In front of a huge crowd Friday night at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, KS, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, (BKFC), THE World’s Fastest Growing Sport, presented an outstanding evening of action broadcast globally on the BKTV App. 

In the main event of the evening, Mike ‘The Marine’ Richman, (4-0-1) of Rosemount, MN stopped hometown favorite Dave ‘The Caveman’ Rickels, (2-1) in the second round. Dropping Rickels twice with huge uppercuts in a bloody first round, Richman earned the victory with a final knockdown in the second stanza at 0:31. 

With the victory Richman earned the mandatory position to face BKFC Middleweight World Champion Thiago Alves. Said Richman, “I’m already the Champ and I’ll take him out too.”

Co-featured in a BKFC  Light Heavyweight World Title Eliminator to face Champion Lorenzo Hunt, Isaac Doolittle defeated Jared Warren taking the spirited, hard-fought win by majority decision with  scores of 47-47, 48-46, twice. 

Fighting in the flyweight division, hometown favorite Marciano Hernandez dropped Jerald Gregori twice in the first round to earn the stoppage at :48 of round 1. 

Competing in the welterweight division, Jake Lindsey proved to be more tactical and earned the TKO victory when Derrick Findley’s corner called a halt to his valiant effort at the end of round. 4. 

In the women’s flyweight division, Jessica Link won a unanimous decision over Crystal Pittman by scores of 50-45, twice and 48-47. 

Fighting in an epic, bloody battle, featherweight Stevo Morris stopped LJ Hermreck at 1:14 of the fourth round. Although dropped four times, Hermreck kept the pressure on Morris throughout the fight which saw both fighters overcoming numerous cuts. 

In the flyweight division, Tyler Randall knocked out Josh Richey at 1:57 of round 3. Randall was dropped twice in round 3. 

Competing in the lightweight division, Tony Soto stopped Shawn Moffett at 1:20 of round 2. Moffet was dropped once in the first round and twice in the second.

Fighting in the flyweight division, Chancey Wilson scored a first-round knockout of Justyn Martinez, (1:36).

In the welterweight division, Kenny Licea stopped veteran Noah Cutter in the second stanza, (0:30). 

Opening the prelims, Trai Santos and Nick Villar battled to a majority draw. Scores in the featherweight contest were 48-46 and 47-47, twice. Villar was down once in the opening stanza.
