I’m excited to watch one of boxing’s greats lace them back up after 2 years & take on a legitimate contender in his weight class for a legitimate world title…
This is boxing… a sport where a real fighter takes on a real contender for a real belt & knows when enough is enough…
Miguel Cotto will be done with the sport in just a few months. Saturday night may be the last time anyone sees his true ability & the last of his success…
On the other hand, perhaps he will shock the world with an easy KO on Saturday & follow if up with a potential upset in December (depending on who he fights then)…
Either way, I am sad that I will no longer be able to watch one of the greats who has entertained us for so long, never ducking the best opponents…
More importantly, Miguel Angel Cotto did it with dignity & professionalism. To think that one of the best is actually a great role model & a great all-around guy in real life…
That’s a rarity in the sport these days. I just hope we are able to find others of Miguel’s caliber, style, & manners…
Watch this man make history on Saturday night as he attempts to add yet another world championship to his already impressive career..
Good luck, Miguel!
