The Bronze Bomber is back!

WBC Heavyweight Champion, Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (35-0, 34 KOs) looks to make the 3rd defense of his title against Polish contender, Artur Szpilka (20-1) tonight @ 10pm on Showtime’s ShoBox Series. Wilder, the first American to hold a heavyweight belt since Shannon Briggs held the WBO Heavyweight Title back in 2007, is coming off a great performance against Johann Duhaupas. Wilder won by 11th Round TKO after a very one-sided performance.
Charles “Missouri” Martin (22-0-1, 20 KOs) a great, young American prospect is also featured on the card and will be taking on another Polish contender for the recently-vacated IBF Heavyweight Title. Vyacheslav Glazkov (21-0-1, 13 KOs) has several wins over Top-20 heavyweights such as Steve Cunningham, Malik Scott, Tor Hamer, Derric Rossy, Darnell Wilson, & Poland’s own, Tomasz Adamek. It will no doubt be a great match-up and big step up for the hard-hitting Martin.
The fight will take place in Brooklyn’s Barclay Center, which has been home to many major title fights in recent years. This will be the first defense of Wilder’s belt outside of his home state of Alabama. The undefeated champion brings with him tonight a very big height advantage with his 6’7″ frame, as well as an extremely long reach advantage (83″). Hard, power punching & knockdowns are expected on this great treat of a fight card tonight in New York. Don’t miss it!
